Award-winning educator and Montana Western alumna Angela McLean was appointed by Gov. Brian Schweitzer as the newest member of the Montana Board of Regents. Her appointment is effective immediately.
In 2006, Gov. Schweitzer appointed McLean to the Montana Board of Public Education where she served as vice-chair. McLean's accomplishments and awards are many; her innovative teaching methods led to a $25,000 Milken Family Foundation Educator award in 2007, and in 2008, she was the recipient of a Milken Festival Youth Grant.
Last year McLean was honored by Montana Western with the 2009 Distinguished Service Award.
